The next bite on a jig.
Most of my popping is dolphin, jacks and maybe yellowfin. Our bft came deep jigging this year.

So what would I need for my fishing 7.5' or 8.5' rods. Obviously the lighter rating would fit my needs.

Jim the stealth would be a great rod for you, an amazing light blank that has rediculous balls

i second the steath. great for offshore when a huge rod isnt necessary. Mahi don stand a chance but still fun.

the stealth is a beast, very light easy to load and yet has the back bone, i fought a 200lb+ yellow fin tuna in Panama this year for 45 minute on the stealth, you will be very happy with the performance of the rod
