What a differnce a week makes. Last Sat I built snowmen in the front yard and this Sat we ran 65 miles off shore in flat seas and 50 degrees. Started in 140 feet at 7:15 with immediate action with a great class of AJs 40 to 60 lbers and these guys were on steroids with the cooler water. After a hour of constant action the guys needed a break so we moved off shore looking for some Tuna. Got wiped out by the large wolf pack of sharks in 200 feet and move out. Plenty of AJs, Almacos, Banded Rubbers, Bonita and had 3 nice Blackfin. We had 7 hours on constant action and released over 150 Jacks (this is conservative). Ran 40 mph all the way in while the boys crashed in the bean bags.
The captain had some technical difficulty with the camera and deleted the best pictures but here are a few:
