Deep drop on a budget recommendation?

Hey guys,
I want to pick up a set-up or two for some very occassional deep dropping. I don't currently have the transducer for it and am not fully committed to deep dropping (I love my trolling). I would however like to give it a shot sometime. I was wondering what everyone would suggest as a budget rod and reel (electric is out) for the occassional deep drop for tiles, wreck fish etc. I have an arsenal of 30-80lb one and two speed internationals and a couple Penn 750 spinfishers. I considered using 50s in the rod holders but the ratio seems too low. Thanks for the input!
Eric

How about a saltist 50. I think they are about 170-190. Thats budget, has about 22 lbs of drag stock and plenty of capacity.

I will add that personally I would get the high retrieve because the low gear kills me and just let the rod do the work, but that may not be the right or best answer. I just don't know and would look for discussion.

I have a little high speed king reel that I occasionally use for dropping bait and like it. Its on a long parabolic heavy rod and I just thumb it and let the rod bend on big pulls.
