First off, congrats on the luck man! I just recently took my first trip out with my first jigging set up(Trevala 6'6" Med w/ Stradic 8000) and same as you, second jig off the bottom, BAM! now, it was no 40lb tuna! it was a little red grouper, but i was still hooked, from right then! Soooooo, im picking my second jigging rod up on friday 6'6" Med./Heavy w/ Cabo 80 on it. after that a little 5'3" is next!!!

second, i just want to say i couldnt be happier to hear about Yellowfin(the boat, that is) being up there. Its a hole in the wall company right here on the west coast of FL and i love that he is doing well!

It was pretty sweet. I had the drag set about 18 and had plenty to spare

i was gonna buy a stella, but picked up 2 of these and still saved some dough.

I need to tangle with something big now for the torture test

I am at the shop all day until 10:00 pm on Thursday.
I leave for Cape Cod aroudn 10:00 pm Thursday for bluefin popping on Friday and I'll fish Sat too if weather is decent.

Jig - I think I'll stick with my slow and steady ride, almost spilled my beer on the way in
