At the end of the drop when the jig is about 40 feet down we'll yo-yo it a few times before re-dropping. This has been responsible for about half of the rooster strikes...although I think the fact that we're jigging off-shore in 75-200 feet of clear blue water has been the biggest factor to our success in getting the "gallos" on the jig.
One thing is for certain though...they are pure fun!
