Considering buying the Daiwa Tanacom 750 or 1000 Electric reel. I'm new to Tilefishing. Would like some recoimmendations.
I'm trying to determine the differences between the Tanacom Bull TB750 and the Tanacom Bull 750fe. Likewise, the Tanacom Bull TB1000 and Tanacom Bull 1000fe. Any info would sure be appreciated.
Several months ago my fishing club, Penn Jersey Saltwater Anglers (PJSA.org) brought in a terrific speaker to talk to us about Tilefishing. He was amazing and sure captured my attention. At the end of the session I felt committed to try it. I'm trying to gather the right kind of equipment to participate in this fishery. Inasmuch as I've had three major back operations, I'm trying to obtain a good electric reel which would perform well and be a reliable addition to my tackle.
The most common electric reel I've seen for sale has been the Daiwa Mdls 750 and 1000 but each of those models are available in both the TB and fe series. I'd like to get some definitive info on these reels.
As far as a fishing rod I have a number of Penn International 11 rods some 5 1/2' long and some 6' long. Most are in the 50 to 80 lb. class with a few on the heavier side. All have Aftco Roller guides. I intend to buy interchangable bent butts to interchange with the straight butts currently on the rods.
Any advice/guidance would sure be appreciated. If any of you kind readers would be willing to give me some numbers on good Tilefishing spots I'd be very greatful.
I fish out of Little Egg Inlet, New Jersey which is located about 39.50 North and fish several Canyons, i.e. Spencer 38.36N, Lindenkohl 38.47N, and Carteret 38.54N.

I used the biggest blue one out of that line to tile/snowy fish with off hatteras and it was great. Keep plenty of dielectric grease on the connection that plugs into the reel. We also used battery charge packs instead of the expensive battery packs from diawa and they worked fine for $25 a piece.
