Cod/HALIBUT jigging in ICELAND in July--who wants to go?!

    Hi All,

I'm trying to put together a trip to the Westfjords of Iceland, targeting primarily cod and halibut--on JIGS, of course.

We'd be going at some point in July, leaving on a Tuesday and returning to the states the following Thursday.

The standard trip they offer provides for 6 days of fishing and accommodations plus transportation to and from Reykjavik. For a party of four people, the bill is about 1500 USD per person, not including airfare to Iceland, which is 600-1000 dollars. A heck of a deal, in my opinion, for what could be an absolutely sensational trip.

I just wanted to get a feel to see if anyone might be interested in such a trip. This link has some more info but I've been e-mailing with Iceland ProTravel and can provide you some more info if you send me an email at willygoldsmith@gmail.com. Let me know if you want some more info--I'm pretty excited about this!

One caveat is that while there, the anglers run their own boats, but I'd absolutely be down for that--they have pro-staffers at the lodge who will walk you through where to go, how to fish, etc.

Hope to hear from some of you!

    -Willy.
