    CHARTREUSE JIGS

    we have used this color inshore with good luck
    but havent had a great amount of success with tuna

    what are you having success catching with that color?

    Depending on where you are fishing, anywhere from 100-400g on average but generally smaller. When targetting grouper the smaller the better for more flutter. When targetting AJs, king mack, wahoo, tuna etc I like to apply the match the hatch theory. I believe more often than not, our pelagics down this way are feeding on squid or other small baitfish (flyers, mackeral, sardines) which are normally about 6-8 inches long which equates to about 250-300g rear weighted jigs. In deeeeeep water 500-600g may be necessary depending on the current. I have had no trouble reaching the bottom with a 400g jig even in 800ft though as long as the current is not ripping

    looks like the last trip CHARTRUESE was used..what worked?

    Sorry Paul, I didn't see this when you posted it up for some reason. The two that I've had luck on are the shimano flat sided 168g and the regular butterfly 200g
