Well it was a typical day in cape cod bay today. We drove all night after a day of work and then launched the 23 Reg in Green Harbor. We made the 20 mile jog to the point and made just in front of the fleet of boats. Not that it mattered though, because the tuna were showing them selves for the entire first have of the day. The trouble was that they didnt stay on top long long. By the time you got your boat pointed in the right direction the fish moved.
On the plus side we did manage to see some nice class fish and were lucky enough to position the boat just right on the best pod we saw aall day. We mad some casts and came tight to a nice 68" BFT. The fish was hit by the gaff in less then 10 minutes.
while the fish was being cleaned up for a 3 day hall in ice, we managed to have a nice hit on the jig but the fish came undone. We heard some good chater on the radio and I'm sure some of the local charter boys had some good fishing.
I'll keep everyone up to date the next 2 days although tomorrow reports will be made at the local water hole since its going to blow 20-30k. Hopefully monday will be just as good if bnot better.
