CTS..i think i just got some of their blanks
hope to see them in action
5' Powerspell
we have been doing more and more short rods
what do you think of the backward lowrider in ti guides being on some of the rods
its being used as the stripper guide
The backward lowrider stripper (a la Smiths) looks nifty but I feel that blanks like Smiths, which are more parabolic than JM's, and the wide spaced legs of the lowrider would hinder natural blank action. They would be better suited to fast tapered rods, not neccessarily jig rods.
The CTS blanks are NZ made but don't appear much on the local landscape. Most blanks are exported. The jigging range are light and strong but unlike the Japanese style that I much prefer.
yeah smiths ( i knew that),,just trying to get finished without thinking

i have about 3 or 4 CTS they seem nice, but are still in a catagory of faster action i feel
thats why i dont like the lowriders..the gap
but the guides look different on the rods
i guess i maybe try as experiment..just to see where it bends
lowriders on a parabolic rod might also be too low as a stripper. The CTS blanks have that GUSA feel about them![]()
