    Bottom bounc'in squid jigs

I just finished another batch of squid heads and rigged a few of them a way a few of my internet pals wanted them done. We wanted them to breath / pulse with no movement and strong enough to handle lg Grouper & Snapper.
We did these in a color that can only be described as trying to do Jim's "potroast".
Used the mojo squid head, 200# wolverine splits & 8/0 9175 Mustads.
I used a super glow wht powder base and airbrushed the copper mix color on the top. Added varying amounts of glitter to the gloss powder finish, a 3" twin tail glow grub to the hook and hand tied and banded the silicone skirting.
Looking to get some feedback on the mojo hook rig vs the fixed set and how you think they may work for the bottom fishies.
Headed to Destin after our little TS blows through to test them.
    Thanks,
    All the best,

The next bite on a jig.
Potroast - often imitated, never duplicated

Not interested in selling them; just enjoy experimenting / testing.
Should be fun comparing the hookup % of these vs the fixed set vs the assist rigged jigs. I built them in the 3 styles.
I know the fixed set heads work well but you do lose a few fish due to leveraging. That will be minimized by the split ring rig; but will the hookup % drop?
Worth a few days on the water!

Those are exceptional. Good luck and post a report when you're done field testing.

Nope, not gonna duplicate that sweet color, but it is my go to in your flatsides. Seems if that color won't do it, nothing will.
Not that I won't put it up against a pinkie for a test:
    All the best,
    Matt
