What Frank, were you sleeping during the trip? Please tell me you caught a bluefin on the jig this time out. I didn't see any pics of you.

I have some video of Frank jigging his heart out, I'm pretty sure. However conditions were very unforgiving.

    Was thinking about your trip

Did you happen to notice what was in the stomach of the Bluefin you caught. I have often wondered where these size Bluefins (100 lb plus class) spend the winter since we do not see very many if any at all off MHC. When they are off the mid-Atlantic coast in the summer months they are often loaded with sand eels. Great trip best and best of luck on any future jigging trips. PS:I was wondering what this means "We got bit on the Eastern Tackle Pot Roast Flat side." If I am correct it is jig and would like to know more about them
    Potroast
    Thank you

    Capt. John.
The stomach of the one we kept had little crill or shrimp like critters ( And very little of that ). Yes these were the smallest ones I have ever caught, but all you wanted on a jigging rod. We normally don't have them this size in Morehead.

The Potroast is just a color. Color #6 http://shop.easterntackle.com/produc...1&productId=26

Mitch pull one off on the Pigroast #7 also.

I think either one would have done well, but nothing was happening on the pink. Of course that always changes day to day. Thats why any good jigger has a full selection.

Yep, I was using the 240g katana in pig roast for the first bite I pulled off.
