Best place to buy a Stella?

Don't know if you all read my post about not really liking the conventional gear for jigging, so.... gonna get me a Stella 20000 SW and I'm looking for a GOOD deal. Anybody bought one from ebay? Does Shimano honor the warranty if you buy off of ebay?

    Any other recommendations?

The SWs are at a premium right now as they're the new model, but you can still find some decent deals. If you're really looking for a deal look for the FA model and you can get a smoking deal on a reel that's amazing. As far as ebay, look up shimreels or plat on there and start there- I have bought from both of them in the past and they are excellent sellers.

Also member reelsseller is a good ebayer for JDM stuff.

However you may want to consider service and warranty when making your purchase. Nothing beats hometown service.

Is it better to spend the extra $200.00 - $300.00 or so and get a Japanese model?

That really depends on the model of the reel. Many JDM's are the same as domestic so it doesn't matter, but some brands like Daiwa offer upgraded models for JDM.

Ok, by what I can read the 20000 is the same over there as it is here.

Paul, how good of a deal? I may be getting a new 20k in the near future and I could go either SW or PG...let me know if you're putting something together and how much of a deal it is.
