Bail less Saragosa reel

Yep, covered pretty much already. Just concuring with the above. Bailless reels are more for casting and surf fishing. I've lost a good number of expensive plugs before I learned to take the bail spring out and make it a manual bail. Try to cast too hard and the bail would close and snap the line, losing expensive lures.

yeah. that sucks. i have lost more than i care to remember that way

Another reason i heard for a manual bail was when popper fishing if the bail closed with 130lb braid the popper could swing back and wrap around someones neck
