    Kind of wierd looking....... but then again butterfly style jigs looked wierd when they first came out.

    Yes....I caught the 37 lb gag thats in my profile picture on one of those. The hooks are about the size of "lucainis" jig hooks.

    Yeah we have them here in tackle stores in New Zealand. Here they are called Daiwa Pirate Jigs and are used in the same way as Shimano's lucanis slow jigs. Pretty popular and work well on a wide variety of fish.

    Sorry for the late thanks. Soooooo then you work them slow on a very parabolic rod and let the fish climb on it??????? I was hoping it was more like power jigging (not to be confused with electric reels.) Wife says I need to burn more calories.

    One of these days I hope on getting to New Zealand. Do some King fish and visit AMF boats.

    Tuna are just beginning to get within range.

    I cast it out and let it hit the bottom and work it slowly back to the boat.
