Aki Angler - Squid (shaped) Jigs

These turned out very nice. The glow underside on them is nearing a nuclear level. Between that, the lead alloy and the amount of fish these will kill....there's nothing Green about them.

Those are bad to the bone, or in this case fish. Look fishy.

These are great looking too Jim- I can't tell from the scale of the picture, are those hooks small like the ones on the Lucanus jigs?

I haven't studied the other jigs closely. I asked for the heaviest hook they could put on there. They sent me a few and put the heaviest of what they sent.

The best comparison I could make would be to one of those small, but heavy, live bait hooks.

Click the links above. You can order them today.

I only have a limited initial qty, but will keep them up as long as they last.

These jigs look pretty sweet...I don't know anything about this type of fishing though...a few questions....

What do you fish these for and how do you work them? Any specific depths? Does your potential success with these jigs directly relate to how much of the target's forage base consists of squid and octupus? Water temps? Do you use the same type of rod that you would for the other jigs?

Fishing to me is like a never ending math problem that is actually fun to try figuring out...all factors eventually relate or form some sort of pattern....

thanks for the info everyone - Cassidy
