    4/5 jigging

Headed out of MHC to do my normal day troll for awhile then do some jigging. Nothing trolling for 4 hours.

I had mark some bottom I wanted to drop in in 370 feet of water. Once again Sea Draggin theory on the first drop holds true. I get a nice Red Grouper and a buddy gets a Atlantic Bonito on the way up. Nothing else there, until me and a buddy within 5 seconds had the hit / slice working up. I figure Kings or Hoo.

We started working in dropping on live bottom, a couple of guys switched to bait, me and another kept jigging. We got about 10 AJ's and about 20 Black Sea Bass.

Overall really nice day on the water.

Glad to see you got out again Ponce..We headed south out of WB had a good day on the BSB but not the grade we were catching out of MHC...Tons of small Gags and Loads of Pinkies..Alot of warm water moved inshore down there so Im sure those Bass will scatter..It's time for the Red Grouper to start firing off hopefully after this next week of crappy weather..Ken

Doesn't sound like too bad of a day on the water, not that any day is, thanks for the post. Try using wire assist hooks or a swivel above your jig to cut down on the slices

I do use a swivel above the jig, whatever bit was above the swivel.

At some point in time, we won't be able to call it a theory. Soon it will just become fact
