It amazes me why Congress or the Senate hasn't proposed a rather simple plan; Divide the $900 Billion and give it to the tax payers! They would pay off mortgages, cars, credit card debt, and on and on. If they are concerned about the drug attics, it's all cash! It goes into the economy any how! Oh, maybethey'll deposit it into the bank! Uh, now the banks have cash to borrow against, lend against etc.

Why does this bill surprise you,regardless if the creators are dems or republicans,regardless if its a stimulus bill or general spending,Washington has always spent money on needless things, pork is nothing more than keeping campaign contributors (big ones) happy, its how the same lame ducks keep getting re-elected,we've become a democracy,and inching towards socialism, and are too complacent to do anything about it...aside from gripe on forums.
