If its not worth fighting for now, then when will it be? Timing is never perfect. You mean to tell me that 50K people sending the same letter to their congressman would have more of an impact than 50K people united at the same time standing in DC, standing side by side together? I think not!

As a community, we have all, in varying degrees invested time, money and passion in this sport. And our access to fishing is being taken away, whether for surfcasters on the beach or those who fish by boat.

To the Recs, boat and surf, consider your own personal investment in this sport for a moment. The money you have spent on gear, bait, tackle, boats, rods, reels, lures on learning. I am sure it amounts to a considerable sum.

The total economic output of saltwater fishing on the economy is 125 Billion a Year! That is no mistake. Retail sales alone account for 45 Billion per Year.

For the charter captains, B&T Shops, Fishing Publications & Websites who rely on this sport for their livelihood, or as a second income.....WTF are you doing? Seriously! Where is your involvement? Your apathy astounds me!

You all post fishing reports with videos and pictures during the season and spend money on advertising....for what? What the heck is the point?

You run a business. Do you not want to fight to keep it?

If bad science dictates that next season Fluke/Bass/Blackfish/YFT/BFT, whatever fishing is closed, or the season is cut again in half, or the bag limit is cut in half again, or beach access is further restricted, or their is a new MPA from the Baltimore Canyon to Atlantis... or whatever the managers come up with....WHAT will be the economic impact on your business? How much money are we talking about? How much do you stand to lose?


20K, 50K, 250K?

The objective of this whole rally is to fight for flexibility in the MSA and have congress/senate put the bill down to the floor for a vote.
