The new Mercedes SLS AMG is one amazing car. Check out the video of a performance stunt...I'm not sure I would have wanted to be one of the EMT/ firemen on the set though.

Would look go with my boat at the ramp, course my wife would have to bring the diesel Ford F-250 to get them out of the rampFrank
I could buy a new boat for what that costs
Wow, nice car. Kind of reminds me of something....
trying to think....
it's on the tip of my tongue....
Oh yeah! Now I remember! A 300SL Gullwing... from 1950whatever.
Apparently Mercedes has joined the ranks of car-makers with no new ideas living on their past glory.
Have you seen the "new" Mustangs, Camaros and Challengers?![]()
IE8 says this may be a phishing site....Well, DUH!!!!!!... Stupid jerks can't even spell fishing right.

Personally, I have no problem with either automaker bringing back the "classic's," matter of fact, I wouldn't mind the 2013 Corvette having a split rear window to commerate the '63 Stingray. Besides, I don't remember any 60's muscle car with a V-6 over 300hp. Yesteryear's style, with 2010 technology...bring it on!
Sure, the technology has come a long way and yes, they'd be great looking cars, because they're copied from a time when there was some creativity. I don't have a problem with doing some retro styling. In fact I thought for '05, '06 and '07 Chevy should have built and sold a 50th anniversary Bel Air using a retro look like Ford did with the T-bird. There's nothing wrong with celebrating past achievements.
My point was about the creative bankruptcy that leads to them dwelling on the past because they have no new ideas for today and tomorrow.
There's the billboards that were supposedly showing GM 's recovery after the gov't takeover. All great iconic images... but that was from fifty years ago. What are they doing to get people to buy their cars today?
