    World Cat offers free boat

Is it true? Could World Cat be offering to give a free boat to anyone who can shut up Mr. Worldcat Lemon?

I have offered to shut up and go away, but Andrew Brown was unwilling to navigate a few simple requests with a suitable outcome. Definitely more stringent requirements now to obtain the same results. However, I have given it very little thought as to what is necessary for the Lemon to go away. I saw a Maxweld Maxcat for sale in Santa Rosa California that would shut me up. But short of a miracle or tragedy, I plan on being around a long, long, long, long time. Did I forget to mention a LONG time?

All these snot nosed Exec's understand is the bottom line. So when the bottom line falls off the map they tend to be more agreeable to reason. From what I have read and heard from a secret source, WC is having a hard time selling boats. The bottom hasn't completely fallen out yet but it is on a greased pole downward!

I'm sure you were not looking for freebie's from the get go. You just wanted what was right, and that was the boat fixed! In dealerships we had different ways of writing unpaid warranty repairs off, to keep the customer happy such as "Courtesy Warranty" for items that customer felt should be warranty such as haul out etc but were in fact not, then there was "Uncollectible Warranty" for waranty repairs that were in fact warranty but the manufacturer wouldnt pay for the repairs..

A little courtesy would of went a long way with this situation

    a beauty with brains

LuckyLady, you're not only attractive but smart as well.

I never was looking for a freebie of any kind. I did everything I could to get World Cat and Andrew Brown to fix MY boat but their solutions were ridiculous! They were going to do a rinky-dink small amount of fiberglass repair, maybe $250 bucks worth, and say "well we did all we could" but they would not admit the hatches were defective. BTW that is what they did to the previous owner.
Then they wanted me to have to pay for repairs to the engines and components once their Volvo shop looked it over, not to mention I would have to pay for misc. shop time, storage fees and the kicker.......they would not accept responsibility for engine damage, although if it were not for the leaky hatches, none would have occured.
WC also wanted me to pay to ship the boat back to Washington State, which would run about $8k. So in order for me to get the boat fixed it would have cost probably another $30-40k. Now if the boat had broke down because of something I did? Then I would have paid to have it fixed, but when it is a design defect? No way! WC should have recalled the 9 defective boats and fixed them right instead of letting Town Creek Marina pawn off their defective products to another buyer. BTW good old Town Creek Marina KNEW that this boat had water entry problems but Lisa Alley and Steve Tulevech were so unethical they did not disclose to me, during the 6 days I was in Beaufort, the real reason the owner was having them sell it.

I never asked WC for a new boat, I asked for a comparable boat that would actually run!

Now however, WC and TCM has made an enemy by their own doing, and it will take an act of God Almighty for me to go away.

Once "certain" things are resolved, I will launch my two websites
    www.worldcatboatsucks.com and www.towncreekmarinasucks.com

My web designer has the full layout, pics, testimonials, e-mails between myself and said parties, a video interview, repair invoices, survey reports, a Naval architect report, and a slew of other things that will shed some HONEST light on these two companies. My designer will link those sites to every major fishing websites in the country, and the videos we make will be posted on You Tube. I am sick of the fact that WC says they stand behind their boats because that is yet another lie, in my experience! If you know anyone who might be interested in buying my website domains, they might be for sale in the future?

Andrew Brown knows I am telling it straight. It might seem a bit extreme, but this deal cost me 2 full fishing seasons where I was unable to fish with my kids before they went to college, loads of time and money, many nights of lost sleep, stress unbelieveable, and I don't want to see that happen to another person who considers buying a boat from either company. It is obvious that WC and TCM only understand business from a profit mindset, but hopefully they will learn that product integrity, honesty, and treating people fairly is what makes a company successful and the profit will naturally follow good business practices. Although Mr Brown went to Princeton he obviously did not learn those principles along the way.

If I can keep ONE guy from buying a lousy boat then all my effort is worth the time. BTW I kept one Canadian from buying my old boat when he found my number and called me. The selling boat dealer failed to mention the boat was an insurance total, they put a new engine in it(like I told Brown the port motor was bad), didn't fix the hatches, and was selling it for $89,999.This poor guy would have been soaked like I was. Needless to say he was incredibly happy he called me!!!!!!

    Boat manufacturer going under???

It's a shame to see a reputable boat company going under but the unscrupulous builders will be weeded out.

I have heard that TCM and WC are having a near impossible time selling boats and a source has said the economy could be the demise of many marine businesses. Again, sad to see it

    Extinction is a reality!

    Curmudgeon...

my therapist said it is therapuetic to make a regular journal entry, regardless of how insignificant it may seem, and to express my feelings.

It seems obvious that nobody is interested in a free World Cat boat or more people would comment. I guess after 30k hits on my other thread about my experience with Town Creek Marina and World Cat people would have to be insane to even want a FREE WC boat? I wouldn't want one even if it was free!

Thanks for helping my therapy session

One definition of mental illness is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results each time. No wonder you're in therapy. Does the color yellow make you sad, Jack Wagon ...

Actually it isn't colors that make me sad, it's words.....like World Cat and Town Creek Marina. Although whenever I see a World Cat boat all I can see is Lemon Yellow! That's all I see.

And actually Dr "Phil' is my therapist! Or should I say I phil good to post my story, I phil good to tell both sides of the story about the true nature of the WC empire, it phil's good to keep other fishermen from buying a lousy boat from a lousy manufacturer(IMO), and I phil so good to be an EX-World Cat owner! I Phil better for having this session!

As for outcomes? I guarantee you this and other threads will make a different outcome for prospective boat buyers, TCM, and WC......I think that's why yellow makes me sick, I think!

I tried for 16 months to resolve this in a professional manner but Mr Princeton is far sighted and failed to extrapolate the outcome of his greedy decisions. Perhaps now he can see what I tried to tell him, I just wanted a boat that ran the way it was advertised.

    Anyone want a new boat???

Still kickin in Washington. If someone were to "donate" a new WC boat to me, I would find a deserving group of guys and hold a drawing to give it away to some lucky/unlucky fishermen.

Anyone interested in being entered into the drawing? Send me a PM and I will put you on the list. GOOD LUCK. ONLY ONE ENTRY PER PERSON!

Luckylady, what would be the trade in value of a new 29' WC in exchange for a contender?
