WORLD CAT BOATS AND SHAMROCK MERGER????

After attending the Seattle boat show, and looking at the Defiance line of boats (which I thought the 290 Guadalupe looked pretty good), I found out who is making the Defiance line....Bo Palmer who bankrupted Shamrock boats.

Now, I'm not bashing Bo Palmer cuz I don't know him, all I can do is read what others on other sites have said about him, how he treats customers, and what the news has reported he owes to the county in North Carolina. I think it is a shame that Shamrock went under, and I feel especially bad for the guys who own a Shamrock with a "lifetime warranty" that now is as worthless as the warranty offered to me by World Cat. But to find out Mr. Palmer is in charge of the new Defiance line is a bummer, as I would not buy from a guy who leaves his customers hanging. Period!

Apparently, Mr. Palmer had "Investors" for the new start-up for Defiance Boats when he knew Shamrock was on the rocks. I wonder if World Cat is one of those "Investors"? From what Shamrock owners have said it appears to me that Andrew Brown and Mr Palmer have similar management styles, or at least in how they treat unsatisfied customers who have major problems with their boats. Since Mr. Palmer and Mr. Brown are from the same state, it would be reasonable to expect that they run in the same business and social circles....maybe even play golf together? Maybe even took business classes together? Maybe even share notes on how to improve profit and lower overhead?

Does anyone have a take on this? How can a guy bankrupt one boat business and then turn around and start a new one before his old debt is paid off? Is there a new Obama government bail-out program we all should know about? Cuz if there is I want in on it!!!!!!!!:

I Guess a little on-line investigation is stupid? Not sure about that logic but my questions are genuine and based on my experience with World Cat would not surprise me if my suspicions aren't spot on.

Curmudgeon, please expound on the errors of my ways....in other words my downright stupidity, just curious.

if you were going to buy a Defiance boat wouldn't you want to know who was building it and what their past building experience is?

Interesting, i know of at least 3 brokers who went under, then started new dealerships representing different lines, leaving the new owners having to deal with the manufacturers directly...which as we all know aint worth scat...sounds like 'ol Bo is up to the same deal, there's no governing body for ethics, but...someday, someones gonna punch his ticket...and that'll be that.

I hope you understand how stupid that sounds; everyone from the same state you can assume they rub nuts together

Well I don't know if they rub nuts together, but being in the same biz, providing similar customer service to their customers, acting in similar fashion, it is my opinion that they absolutely HAVE TO be either cousins or run in the same biz circles. If you have any pictures of this North Carolina Boat Builders Tribal Ritual of "NUT RUBBING" I would be interested in some pictures that I could post on www.towncreekmarinasucks.com and www.worldcatboatsucks.com.

I recently discovered that Lisa Alley at Town Creek Marina (sales s_ _ m artist) is actually non-other than Lisa Alley-Tulevech. Now, I have not figured out whether she is married to the skinny runt or the fat bald one, but maybe someone can help me out with that question. However, it all makes sense now why they all kept covering each others butt when I confronted them with the scam they pulled on me, and I would bet that the Tulevechs know Bo Palmer personally, as they do Andrew Brown.

It looks like the economy is causing boat builders and "some" salespeople to do whatever it takes to sell a boat even if it means lie thru their teeth, file bankrupcy and go start another boat building business, leave your old customers and employees hanging, and start the game all over again. I wouldn't doubt that World Cat goes the same route as Shamrock. But a little piece of advice to WC would be.....don't move the game to Washington State cuz the WCL will sink your ship! JMHO
