It appears that this is what American's want and on what Obama changed his position and promised he would deliver---- Whether one agrees or disagrees philisophically with whether we should or shouldn't drill is moot, our American democracy has spoken, so I support you 100% Cliff.

A "HUGE" majority??? 8 million out of 120+million cast, a margin of 7% is "huge"?? How about a "clear" majority? The results are not in question.

Even the Electoral majority can't be called "huge." (67%)Obama didn't even make it into the top 25 for electoral vote victory. (Bill Clinton did better-both times-even though he didn't do as well on popular vote.)

Before primaries, with Bush approval rating at 29%, the polls indicated a generic DEM would beat a generic REP by 18% popular vote. Obama didn't get half that margin of victory.

With Bush's approval rating, and virtually all the media pushing the DEM's candidate, a DEM AFLAC Duck could have won this election!

And didn't I hear that only 43% of Republicans voted, the reason Obama got in white or black, is because the Dems did a better job of getting their voters to the polls...it's that simple.....

The man stands for NOTHING that I stand for, and I'm done getting angry about the people that voted for him. I'm about done writing in anger, I've moved on.

He will probably do NOTHING that I agree with, although I hope I'm wrong.

Having said that, I plan on giving him more respect then the liberal whiny jerks that spent 8 years of their life with anti-bush stickers and t-shirts.

To the task at hand. Taking what he gives us and making the best of it for my family.

I couldn't agree more with you on virtually everything you have written. The left NEVER respected Bush or gave him a chance. Even after the horrible events of 9/11 they were trying to say he didn't know what to do in that classroom and he should have immediately excused himself, blah, blah, blah. The more I think about it the more mad I get....f a damn liberal. I will at least be more of a man than most of them were after Bush won in 2000...I haven't come on here (or anywhere else) crying over the election results. It is what it is and the people (however uninformed they were) have spoken. I wish the man the best in getting this country on track...I don't think he can do it, but I wish him well.

How have so many AMERICANS allowed themselves to be supportive of MULTIPLE double standards that mock them, that represent nothing more than a strategy on the part of those who are determined to undermine/rewrite the rules as they go. It is beyond me. Mark we have been screwed for to long now.

Did anyone see McCain on Jay Leno last night?---- that was the man that could have won the election---- maybe.

I would suggest that we as Americans try to follow John McCain's wisdom and reuest, and that is to acknowledge that the election is over and that Obama has many serious challenges ahead of him as President. Our support for the office-- and man in the office, is needed from everyone. This does not mean we will agree with all of his decisions or even policies, but simply support him as our President.--- Don't know if that makes sense to some here or not.

Maybe you can ask Obama for a "Q" key since he is handing out freebies to the needy.
