    windows movie maker help

Thanks for all your help to this point FLAT....you are the man brother...

Hewres the problem: When I go to save my movie which is about 4 and 1/2 minutes long, it saves and says it is done......problem is it stops at about 47% each time and says it is finished....it only saves 2 minutes and 11 seconds every time... I did it multiple times with the exact same issue. I have already tried to save it under different formats and sizes....same result...

Even tried saving it under different names...same result....

PLEASE TELL ME SOMEONE HAS THE ANSWER TO THIS....

Stupid unlrelated suggestion but is your internet connection unplugged when you are saving your movie? I seem to remember a couple times when I couldn't "make" a movie from WMM. I finally got pissed and went in the house and brought my laptop with me. I had to unplug the internet connection. When I did, it worked. Don't know why but it did.

Oh god, the thought of me giving advice on this subject is scary...But, take it for what it's worth. IF it is stopping at the same point each time...Try to cut out a couple seconds on each side of the stopping point. I had the same issue a couple times...Something got corrupted or some shtuff like that.
Out of curiosity. is there a transition or some type of effect at the 2 min 11 seconds mark? Let us know what you figure out. I can sure use all the help I can get on the subject. Good luck...looking forward to the video getting done.

how big is the movie you are saving?

also the mp3 could have a funny compression. Try removing the mp3 from the time line and save that way.

I had a mp3 that played in the time line fine.....in the save feature it stopped at 85 %. I recoded the mp3 to a wma and it slid through the next time. I had to change the file name of the saved movie. All this was done while being connected to the Internet. Now I log off and save. ! important tip. If the memory is the issue being to small or the swap file (paging) to small. Save the movie as a project. Then reboot clean and load the project. Make no changes and save. Also with a new install of XP, check for status for a fragmented disk. Sorry you are having a time with all of this.

I have started to use ulead studio 11.1 and pinical 11. I find them much more user friendly. I just tried a few clips from a trip a few weeks ago. You dont realize how much space videos take. I went out and bought a external hard drive and all I use it for is storing video projects. This stuff is addicting!!Mark

This is my first one no action shots but next time there will be plenty.....Mark

This one was just some photos to make a video from last year...
