I use a surgeons loop in the braid connected to a 130# spro inline swivel to the wind on.
Kind of a loaded question here little man. The answer is yes. There are several ways to go about doing it though...First let us know if you are using Hollow core or regular braid. Second let us know the pound test of the desired leader as well as the pound test of the braid. I am assuming you are wanting to attach a pre-made wind on leader to your rods, for that there are several here on the board that will most likely chime in who are more profficient than myself. I use mono or flouro leaders off the spool and I also use regular braid(not hollow core, where a chinese handcuff would serve well). For the connections I make I tie a uni to uni on all my lighter stuff(30# tackle on down to the spin gear). For the heavy stuff(50# gear and up) a bimini in the end of the braid will usually do. Tell the board here what your specific application is and I believe you will get all the feedback you need. Squid just posted and excellent video on this very subject. After I get the kids in bed I will come back and try to find a few helpful links for you.
Nellinov brings up another point, do you want an inline swivel connection or do you want to go line to line.
SFC please help young Austin out here!

Don't use swivels on rods with ceramic guides. Depending on the size braid you are using it may not be wise to use a traditional loop to loop wind-on leader. Small diameter braids can crimp the mono and cause a weak spot prone to breaking. Try making an albright knot with the braid to the loop of the wind-on leader. I suggest that you top-shot your braid with 100' of mono and then use a traditional loop to loop connection for you leader. This will give a little shock resistance and reduce your chance of breaking a fish off when it is close to the boat.
All good responses here but the smallest braid I use is #50 (solid) power pro.
I too don't care to wind on swivels so my standard connection is a bimini or surgeons double in the braid and the an albright or uni depending on which setup I'm working on (spinners or conventional) and how much artheritis I've got in my fingers when I'm riggin' and friggin'! Many will say that a single braid strand through a doubled mono loop will cause the braid to cut through the mono (much like it does your fingers!) I belive if you double the mono and use an albright in the braid(backwards to the way i do it) you would prevent this.
It also does'nt hurt to re-tie these connections after every trip!![]()

i didnt know if you could use a bimini with brais or not>??????
thanks--austin
thanks guys i wish winter was over!!! so i could try this new tatics!!!
For the lighter braids, try the alberto knot rather than the albright. It's really just a modified albright but I've had far better success with the Alberto. I would agree though that for regular braid over 80-pound test, go with the bimini to make your main-line loop.

there's this too, haven't tried it yet but it looks mighty interesting
