I have used the 4200 series of Garmin products while tuna fishing off the coast of Mass for a couple seasons now. The ease of use and the quality of the product is unmatched. The plotter is the best in the market, and the maps are the best out there. I would recommend the Garmin multifunction displays to anyone looking to upgrade or replace an existing unit.

Capt. Mark was willing to sit down with me and show me some loop knots that he was using on Power Pro hollow core that were strong and allowed me to not loose my #32 planers when they kept dragging along the bottom up in Morehead during the winter bluefin tuna fishing. Between Mark and Pete I learned a lot from them just being good people and sharing their information on the dock.

I have had a Shakspeare antenna on my marine vhf since I've owned my boat (~5yrs). I have had nothing but great performance, with good range and clarity throughout all radio frequencies. In less than ideal conditions, I am able to consistently reach fellow fisherman 15-25 mi away. I am unsure of which model it is, however, when/if I ever need a replacement, I will look at Shakespeare again first.
