Who's got the fastest top end?

I want to know who on this board has the fastest top end speed on their boat.

I've done 42 knots in a large sportfish and 60+knots in a CC but I know there are boat owners on here that can do better than that.

    Lets hear it................

I did 60+ in a center console. I've never been to the canyons that fast in my life, but the pucker effect watching debris fly by at that speed is a little too much for me. The thing is it blew up in the afternoon and we had to do 15knts worth of a$$ beatin on the way home. we followed a 40+fter on the way home to nock the seas down. This was an older scarab sportfish not one of these new hulls that can fly on top.

I've done the same thing. 40-50 knots out 1 time in my life and came home at 28 knots due to changing conditions. I know there are some Sportfishes that can do 50 knots just wondering if anyone on here owns one of them.

for sportfishermans it would have to be Jonnie Duffies, BillFisher, or the boat that Bull Tolson runs, SeaTOY, high 40's. I am sure the rest of the builder are getting up there as well. A Center console, I just saw some BA$$ rig with 4, 350 outboards, had to be sick fast . Going fast , my donzi goes 75+, stock, but add a whipple, over 100, to fast for me.

Outside of fishing in my late teens and early twenties I was involved with racing... I had a "280" Class hydro that clocked at 122. Later I moved to 7 litre which was two steps under the U boats like Miss Budweiser. The best I could muster with that one was 156 on a measured kilometer. Too friggin fast. The 280 actually had sme lap speed as the 7L though..
I switched to offshore and raced C class at about 77-81 mph.

Center consoles I have seen about 60 max. Sportfish I have topped at about 40kts...

Then we get to one class often over looked. Bass boats. Many of them stock out of the box do 70-74... The fastest production one I ever drove was one by Stratos. Their 181 VT Rocket with 225 excell yammie for power. She touched 84mph.

The way the real fast bass boats get their speed is to channel air under the hull creating lift. Enough lift that often just a small "pad" is all thats in the water. The vt rocket had two three by two inch pads that effectively balanced the boat while it was running almost exclusively on the engines cavitation plate... Not for use in a chop and certainly not for the weak of heart...

As far as real go fast big boats. Cookie Too run by Cookie Murray in the early nineties, I only rode on at about 40 but she can turn 53. only 16000 pounds, carbon fiber composit and a pair of 1100 horse I think Mans or MTU...
