I recognize you. Guadelupe and white sharks ring a bell?
Mike
Yeah did you ever fill in on the RP? i remember a few of the fish in mates from other boats like Joey and jake but yeah i did quite a few guadalupe trips i didn't really care for them i liked the islands alot more
But I remember you telling me about giant bluefin. I was the only one from the gulf coast(texas) and you were the only one from the east coast. Small world. I like the islands myself. Sucks they lost them. After about six months of being there a old friend of mine from Port Aransas just shows up out of the blue working on the polaris Supreme. Really small world.

Yeah i think i do remember now! you worked on a bigger headboat/charterboat down in texas before heading out to san diego if i remember,i am glad i worked out there and got that experience while i was young because you get to see more tuna in a day out there than some mates see in an entire yr here on the east coast.
Friends of mine don't even believe me when I talk about 300 blufin and 500 albacore in one day and thats just a good days fishing. That picture below my post of a red cockpit...It was white before 525 mahis hit the deck in 3 hours...where else can you do that? Anyway, I'll stop hi-jacking this post, good to hear from you!
Mike
I've been fortunate to fish with alot of accomplished sport capt's but i've learned more from commercial fishing capt's

are the old-timers that built quality stuff, told you like it was, taught you that you can catch anything that swims with a sharp hook and a good drag, the same guys that hold thier girl tight and have respect for thier famly and others. My hero's gave to people and taught them that giving is the greatest gift you have. All of us have the same gift 'if' we use it...
