To me any market is a market, and the fact is people are using less fuel, except I suppose the power companies that likely have no choice, as people are staying home and using more juice. People are boating less, folks are traveling less, vehicles are more efficient, etc., the usage is down...and the price was up and trickling down to a predetermined bottom of $3.50 a gallon (you'll see). Now there is a summertime blowoff, when people are just so sick of staying home, so they're moving around a little bit. Anyway the price is being set, irrellevant of usage...kind of like the airlines charging for luggage, no real reason, they're just doing it...because they can....the plane is going where it's going, regardless off whatever luggage is on board...and trust me, people are adjusting by mailing their luggage, much like they are adjusting br traveling less....

You are correct - the bunny huggers are definitely a huge part of the problem. Electric cars are an absolute joke at best and an environmental nightmare at worst...

1 charge of an electric vehicle uses the same energy as 3 average houses - if the batteries are fresh. That charge is good for about 100 Miles.

then you have to look at what happens when the batteries are no longer good - lots of rare metals - how do you recycle them?

Ethanol - what a joke as well - uses much more energy to make, not to mention raising the price of corn to the point that Pedro can't afford tortillas...

Fluorescent bulbs - Mercury - 'nuff said

    LongFisher,

Just goes to show that none of us wouldn't be willing to help you out if we can. I seem to remember some heated exchanges between the two of you (Marine), but in the end he did what he could. I believe anyone of us would do the same. After all it's not your fault you're from a different planet than the rest of us. If given enough time and you're willing to listen, there may be hope for you yet. Then again, maybe not! Frank
