where are we going with all this?

ya know I am so friggin' pissed about alot in this country that is going downhill fast.. NUMBER 1: People who don't stand up for whats right! .. (so johnny wears his frikin' sony headset to class and creates a disturbance.. why is he wearing it in the first place? is there any respect for the teacher? is there any pencil, pad or school book in their hands or bag?? or just the headphones and cell phone??? Parents it is your job, duty, or responsibility to make sure those kids do what they are supposed to! ... 2.: quit giving away our money to people who don't work!!!! that so pisses me off!!! 3.: Keep your word even as a President .. where are the jobs????.... give you some time to think about that one... (hint we are still running outta oil so why don't we make a electric train?, improve our roads, peace corp.??? teach the kids and young people how to build.. so many different things ,,, but get this: in Broward County a teacher is asked to NOT correct school papers in 'red' ink because it effects the psyc'y of the kid ... give me a freakin' break... same kid musta had the headphones and cell phone text'n in class... so many more to list but these are some big ones to start with!

I hear ya brother... I deal with that crap every day and I'm just a shop teacher.

Shop class doesn't count right?

Ask your local school district what their Tech Department looks like at the High School, that will give you a little insight to why young people have no work ethic.
Many Tech Programs have been boxed up in favor of expanding Special Ed programs.

Check it out. I'm not saying it is the answer but it doesn't help in this day and age.

OK I'm done ranting.

ya know I loved shop and small engines even was a class..

but thats back when we had P.E., (you had to go to home ec. also .. all the guys did..) we learned how to service a lawn mower.. great stuff.. we also had a turnout for sports , kids were not fat.. kids wanted to hang out and play... it alot our fault.. some didn't take a stand or speak up before.. we all also let our brats sit in front of the tv, smoke, sit on atari to x-box way too much instead of family road trips, fishing, camping or even cleaning gutters and painting the house.. we come a long way on the stupid side (just look at U.S. commercials) ... did you know the banks are getting their bonuses again this year.. are you getting a bonus?? just asking.. have a great day! my hats off to good old teachers and good homes....

great you-tube vid by the way thanks...

A shop teacher!! You are my hero. I started Print Shop in 7th grade. I was 13 at the time. Went to work in the printing industry at age 15 (forged working papers) will be retiring from the industry in 4 months. Working at it almost 47 years.
THANK YOU,
Barry
