The Fall is prime fishing time in Texas bays and near-shore waters. Been doing my part to fill the freezer.

In particular, the bull redfish are running in the surf. And, it's going to get only better as that hurricane is projected to send some whopper waves ashore this week. Such waves stir up the bottom, shred and suspend pieces of sand worms, crabs and other sand-dwelling life and absolutely draw in the spawning reds.

Can't keep many due to the small slot. But fighting them on 12 lb. test mono is a gas.
