    Where to fish with kids?

Does anyone have a suggestion on where to take my 3 and 5 year old fishing. I live on Kent Island. A pond or creek would would be great.
    Thanks

You can go to Matapeak park off rt8 and fish from the picnic area.( I think $2.00 to park) If a pond is better follow rt50 to wye mills and fish the state lake or spill way( should still be some yellow perch below dam, plenty of bluegill). Centerville has a nice little park and playground across from hillside gas station. Nice little stream that has yellows and bluegills at the backside. How far you want to travel? I got tons of spots up by Chestertown. You can also go to Tuckahoe lake. They just released some rainbows at the spillway and has plenty of grassy banks on lake for kids.

Good luck with the kids! Ill post some other spots when I remeber the names.

I will probably try Wye Mills. Matapeake will be waiting around for a bite, I think. Should I use a 50W or will a 30W be OK?
    Thanks.

Pm Nimrod, he takes his little ones to some lake quite frequently down there some where. Not sure if its private property or not but worth a shot

Didnt know when you were going to go. Wye Mills should be great spot right now. plus you have the little store right there for snacks and lunch, bait and a little tackle if needed. Just pop on a float and worm (canned corn will work too) below the dam and the kids should have a ball. Crappie, sunfish, yellow perch, and catfish!

Good luck and have fun with the kids!

Very light tackle (6 pound test) max will do great!

Not sure when they start but the old grain Mill is open and running sometimes! Its free and might be fun to show the kids.
