Where did that come from?

I'm sitting here in hot sunny Florida minding my own business. Each day I take a look at weather in different places and it was supposed to be nice in north Jersey. Even checked back in around 5 pm. Still clear...

Friend of mine on another site was waiting for a storm in Gueens , NY to clear to do some chores... ???

Flicked on the radar up there and son of a *****! Not one but two tornado signatures aimed at my old home area! Clear at the house but real trouble headed their way... I know my Mom's habits pretty well and knew she'd be on our glass porch in Rumson eating dinner. She's 74 and though not hobbled by any means, not as quick as she once was getting around. Gave her a shout and told her to move inside...
The tornado signatures lifted but the radar really looked like shit as the stuff crossed the house. Phone is out. Had a buddy check. Big tree limbs down, power out, busted windows on the porch but all ok... Ya never know...

Did any other Monmouth or Ocean County members get thumped?

paul the wind blew and the shit flew. I thought the oak tree across the street was comming out of the ground. Karen ran to the cellar with the grandson, lasted about 10 min. then just rainfor about an hour.

Storm took turns first coming down the Shrewsbury and then down the Navesink. From the north it originated but the hail came from the west. Us Sea Brighters always get our share. Few trees down though but a lot of thunder and lightning. I got to shore about 15 minutes before it hit.
