where to catch tile fish

My son and I are heading down to OI this week from Maryland and was wondering where we could catch some tile fish and what do they use for bait.We usally go out for Tuna and dolphin and want to try to bottom fish one day.

Hmmmm... The where would certainly be in the areas you fish deep off of OI. The tile fishery is not what it is up north, smaller fish, however, they are there. Likely, you'll need to watch your screen for lumps of them in hard bottom areas, deeper than 20 fathoms. They take most dead baits, but fresh cut albe's really draw them. 3-4 #7-8 circle hooks on a rig, 80# test, maybe a pink or white hoochie over the bait.
