If I remember the news story correctly from last night. Clinton's dishes were $300,000 and I think Regan's dishes were $200,000. The crazy part is each president gets to pick their own dishes so if O'Bama's wife doesn't like the set Laura Bush just received then she can order new ones. So in essense those $500,000 dishes may be around for about 6 months.

this is ridiculous - almost as ridiculous as big CEO still getting their severance packages with the bail out money.......im so confused by this country and goverment.

jawz, one reason and one reason alone, IT AIN"T THEIR MONEY. I see it locally , i see it at a state level. Now before anyone gets upset, it doesn't mean you don't care about your job, that is not what im saying, but everyone thinks twice about a purchase when its coming out of his/her pocket.

i have it here, just alittle story, one of my managers broke his chair actually i think my fat derrier did, no biggie right, gave him the staples card told him to get a chair. Well he come back with this super duper chair that massages, shitsu and other , hell i think it does his nails, my bad for not specifying, but guarandamntee you , if it was his cash, he would not have bought that chair.

Joe Francis and Larry Flynt claim the economy has made America's sexual appetite go limp, so they're going to the one place where sex is always rampant -- Congress.

and living here in the Wash DC area i will get a close-up view of the wasteful spending especially on Jan 20th (Inauguration Day)
