What's in your engine room?

Besides some of the obvious items..filters,oil,etc. what are some of the items you like to carry in your engine room for offshore. Everytime I am invited on a boat, I notice some unique items in thier engine room. Usually something that I did not think about and thought it was a great idea. Any thoughts?

Several 5 gallon buckets. There's not a better bilge pump made than a scared man and a 5 gallon bucket.

Lots and lots of Simple Green. A clean engine room is paramount. The faster you can spot a leak or spill, the quicker you can clean it up.

Spare filters of all sorts, extra buckets of oil, coolant, etc. More tools than a NASCAR team, and 2 Bales of oil diapers.

Oh yeah, a Comm. grade Shop-Vac.....always comes in handy.

Very cool thread here guys..important to have all your gear and tools in the right place so you can get to them when they are needed.

Ill have to agree with John..no better way to bail out water then a 5 gal bucket..lots of em!

plumbers use these things with 2 hose clamps and thin metal already attached that can be used for an emergency repair to an exhaust manifild. Beer can will also work in a pinch with a couple of hose clamps. I also have some short sections of brass tubing for emergency repairs to go inside of hose.
the rest of the stuff- spare electronic ignition circuit board, spare fan belts, spare saltwater engine pump, coils, other engine parts, hydraulic steering fluid, a dedicated box for electrical stuff-wire but connectors stuff like that ,fuses light bulbs etc. small center console so not a lot of room for a lot of extra stuff in there. (also contains PFDs, first aid kit, tools and a motor underneath all that, lol.
