whats up with fuel prices now

diesel fuel prices have been hoovering around $2.20 in Salisbury and $2.29 at the Royal Farm in west OC. Friday I went fishing and when I stopped at the Royal farm at 7:30am the price was $2.44 WTF. How did prices go up 15 cents in a day or so. So I go fishing and come come home around 6:00pm. figured I need fuel and won't make it to salisbury so I go back to the royal farm. $2.19. These are some serious swings. WTF?

remember a few weeks ago when opec announced they were cutting production ??? this is the reason the price is going up,supply and demand...they cut production,to stabilize the price...sad huh ??? trust me,buy oil fta's price of fuel will be $3 a gallon by march again...

Yup, $1.59 was about the lowest we saw up here, now $1.69 and rising, I imagine the $3.84 a gallon we left off with at the dock in October, will be the starting price this Spring.....

the futures were up on opecs cuts for alittle while, they are now back to 40 a barrel, my thoughts are the oil companies are testing the market again, last weeks numbers were a big surprise, i think the analysts were looking at an increase of stockpile of a million barrels and it came in at 6.5 million barrels.

Some folks also blame it on the Israeli/Palestinian thing flaring up again.

I have a shell by my house and a royal farms the shell was always alot cheaper but in the last week its been more exspensive. There were times that the shell had diesel 40 cents cheaper then royal farms. Go figure right now its 2.32 at shell and 2.19 at royal farms I just hope the gas prices aren't what they were when spring comes around.

I heard gas tax is going up 50% because the fed has lost revenue since people have been cutting back on their driving. That's a increase of about 12 cents per gallon. Maybe the diesel tax has gone up too.

the tax increase is to pay for the rebuilding of the infrasctructure propsed by obama

2.79 on the road here. Best was right around 2$ in the fall. Prices on the water last summer were as high as 4.50. Hope we don't see that again. Anybody have any experience with biodiesel? thinking about running it in my new truck
