I really feel for all you folks up there in all that snow, must be miserable. Makes me feel so bad I think I'll turn off the puter and go catch a bass. I love lower Alabama.

Who was that in the last pic, Punxsatawney Phil looking for his shadow? I feel like a rat saying this, but it's still snowless here. I guess Maine did get fifty inches of snow in the mountains - good place for it I say. We had a rain and wind event the other night that caused a widespread power outage. The winds gusted to 90 mph in some places. The old farmhouse I live in was shaking and groaning throughout the night. Two big old spruce trees in the front yard that have been there seemingly forever are now leaning to one side. There was a constant banging all night and the wind sounded like jet engines. It was a rather eventful night with trees down everywhere the next morning and road closures due to flooding. We have a mix of snow and rain on the way tomorrow with 45 to 50 mph winds expected. I think most of the trees that might come down already did.

The good news is, twenty days left until spring. It could be worse. We could get earthquakes instead of snow. We had our share of snow last winter. This winter has been a breeze, literally!

Don't shoot any locals. There's a few around here that could be mistaken for a bear. Especially after hibernating all winter. Mainahs don't get a whole lot of exercise this time of year - cept from shoveling.

MAYBE WITH THE EASY WINTER YOU HAD THERE THE GAME MIGHT BE ON THE MOVE SOONER.
