For upland hunting I really enjoy my Beretta 686 Onyx (12 gauge)
For Waterfowl hunting the Remington 870 Express in black synthetic gets the nod.
Cowboy says he has used 870's but it must have been a long time ago!

Another 870 lover!
I shoot everything with it!
She's been dropped in the marsh, used for an oar, and I believe she'd still cycle corncobs!!
May not get a lot of respect but since benelli bought out stoeger their shotguns have gotten pretty good. Like a Nova but half the price
870 seems to be the big winner. Remington 870 for me too![]()

1187 now but I still have my old 870 wingmaster. You can drive over them with a truck and they keep going, I did it.
Came back to the truck one rainy day about noon and leaned the 870 on the passenger side front tire while I pulled off the rest of my gear and flung it inside. I ran around the other side, jumped in to get out of the downpour, fired the truck up and took off slinging mud and gravel. I looked in the seat next to me at the empty gun case about a mile later. Drove back to where I was parked and found the ole 870 squashed in the muck with tire tracks on it. I washed it out in a mud puddle, checked the bore, and burnt a slug thru it. The thing shot like it was new, it stll has the scars from the tires spinning on the stock and the reciever.
