    What kind of fish?

    I just spent some time near playa del carmen mexico, when i pulled up this little guy! I have not done much deep sea fishing so i am wondering if you guys can tell me what this is exactly. My first empression is Wahoo, but you guys are the experts.

    This one was about 4 feet, but they get a lot bigger than that, Right?

    Some tv show I saw called them Australian Striped Barracuda.

    They were wrong. It is a Wahoo, also called Ono in Hawaii.
    You won't find a better eating fish.

    Yeah clt_capt, These guys were calling cuda,cuda but i didn't see how. The obvious for me was the tail. Totally different than barracuda.

    The first picture is a barracuda - You can smell them a mile off if you put them in the boat. The second is a pretty good day of wahoo fishing...

    Either the guys you were pulling your leg, or don't know much about fishing...
