NC What I did on my winter vacation.......

    Refinished the fightin chair.

    Release Marine Unlimited 2000 model.

Chair was completely disassembled and striped of finish.

Painted surfaces were sanded, repaired, primed with awlgrip 545 sanded to 600 grit, Awlcraft 2000 Fighting Lady Yellow, with integrated clear coat.

Wood finish 12 coats of Awlgrip varnish, sanded to 600 grit, topped with 5 coats of Awlcraft 2000 clear

I did the re-upolstery on the arms too, actually that was the toughest thing! I did get some material and tips from Ernie's

All of the metal (chrome over brass) was cleaned and polished with Flitz.

Re-assembled and put on the boat this morning.

Ready to be put to good use!

    Thanks!

Thanks fellas, it was a really satisfying project.

This stuff is fun when you have the time to do it right and not rush.

I thought it looked pretty good, but after I put it on the boat and invited criticizm from a fellow charter captain yesterday, I knew it looked good.

When you don't get any criticizm from a charter captain other than "looks good" You know you must have done something right!

Charter Captains have lots of opinions and you know what they say about opinions!

    Capt Jay-

    Damn NICE job!.......

Is the chair the same color as your boat?? I'm thinking about that exact color (Awlgrip Fighting Lady Yellow) for my boat next season.

    Thanks!
