What Drives You Absolutely Crazy About Liberals?

Oooooh, this is going to be a great thread. I'm already in my asbestos suit.

Anyway, I'll start.

My pet peave is that to interact with Liberals on one topic you have to seem as you believe in and embrace all sorts of crazy stuff. I call it group think.

Just go to a liberal web site, especially one like www.huffingtonpost.com or www.commondreams.org and you'll hear about GW's torture allright. But you'll also be treated to article and column after article and column about whales, West Virginia's mountain top coal mining, global warming, worldwide water shortages, ABORTION RIGHTS (they call it choice), women on the supreme court, glass ceilings, driving while texting, Darfor, and certainly gay rights and so on and so on and so on ad nauseum.

I actually had discussions with some of them which were, I thought, substantive about Bush's abuses of the Constitution only to be treated to a blank stare and the a ridiculous follow up question about runway fashions. I also had a guy interrupt my rant one day to tell me he was a social scientist and researcher trying to determine under a grovernment grant why men didn't want to wear condoms during sex.

After a shocked pause, I told him he and I could just sit down right now and write the scientific report because not only did I know, but also, I'd done enough experimentation to be sure of my conclusions and wouldn't mind relating that experimentation in a scientific journal.

So, my private little Hell with Liberal thought is that they have the biggest most unfocused "tent" of all political parties I can imagine. And, it drives me crazy to talk to them.

I think it was Samual Clemens who once said, "I don't belong to an organized political party. I'm a Democrat". I couldn't help but agree.

That Facts and Experience dont matter to them. Because when they do fail..........they look first to the helping hand, because without it, they become helpless. Period.

The only thing that drives me crazy about liberals is that they are very sanctimonious and enlightened when they speak to you. They don't want to discuss facts, they want to discuss feelings and "surface information" that is only derived from biased sources. As soon as they feel that they can't sway you with typical pressure point hot buttons of the liberal faith, they resort to name calling...ie: such as calling someone "Thick"...as in stupid.

the same things bother me about liberals and conservatives......both think only their way is right and there is no middle ground. Discussions deteriorate into name calling quickly because their extreme viewpoints can't actually hold up in a debate. Both also believe every piece of junk news their side puts out without even bothering to see if its true.

I don't like liberals or conservatives.

Liberals
1. want to give the house away
2. think everything is bad for the enviroment
3. ACLU types are anti prayer and anti pledge of allegiance
4. put more emphasis on equality than acheivement
5. are often weak on foreign affairs and defense

Conservatives
1. tend to not care for the lesser fortunate(even though they profess to be devout Christians, I find very little of the example of Christ in their actions)They are Hippocrites often.
2. tend to put profit over environment
3. become hysterical in their opposition to things they don' t like
4. tend toward limiting individual freedoms except gun control

Personally we need both extremes or we would have either a police state or a welfare state. The 2 extremes keep things headed toward the center.

Give give give... What ever happened to earn earn earn...

Bunny hugging, preaching global warming in the face of three years of global temperature drop, being so arrogant as to believe that a few billion of us "bacteria" on the surface of this planet can screw it up worse than mother nature can.
A single belch from a volcano releases more cfc and other pollutants than man has produced in all of our short history.

Their inability to grasp that logic doesn't come into play in a lot of cases. Their belief that we are somehow exempt from a good solid ass whoopin if we try to be friends with our enemy. Their beliefs that some how they are better at making decisions that affect us than we are.
