Ask if he's gonna eat his lunch and drop a line.![]()
Yep, owner/captain makes the call. But our rule also is once you leave the inlet, you're out for the day (unless it's an emergency, of course). We are compassionate enough to make a short day out of it on those occasions when a guest gets seasick... if the fish aren't biting!

Start jigging and keep fishing.
I get sick 1-2 times per year. It doesnt matter how rough or calm it is - its just random. 1 trip last year we got caught overnight in true 4-7's with waves crashing over the bow all night - I was absolutely fine. 2 days later I was at a reef in flat calm water and got sick.
Anyway - I NEVER end the trip early if Im sick - I just keep fishing. If the captain says he's fine - then he's fine.
I am lucky - when I do get sick - its not that bad. I let loose - then Im fine - maybe let loose again - but I feel fine and I fish right through it. Ive seen people that get sick and look like they would rather be dead.
gone fishing, i was pretty sick, but you and pete got me home..........hope this laugh was as good for you as it was for me. one question, any pictures?![]()
Thanks again for another good time fishing. The fishing is secondary to the entertainment that we always somehow find. Weather it is the Kidd, Johnny Kitchen, The Seagull or any fresh meat that stands in the cockpit we always seem to get a good laugh. I'll never forget the McD's run.
My only regret was not taking any pics but I'll always have the picture of you sprawled out on the deck in my memory.
