Cool What can I Catch in Greece?

Help! I really want to go to Greece, and I know I will NEVER be able to convince Franky unless fishing is part of the itinerary. I've been searching the net, but not finding much luck. I know there is fish to be caught! Help me make this a reality!

Just tell Franky that all beaches are topless and the prettiest girls from the world over go to Greece in the summer time in order to get "no line" tans!

Sport fishing is almost non existent in the Med. The place is over fished. Cost of boats, fuel and equipment is so high and fish abundance so low there are no economically feasible sport fishing operations.

The very rich do sport fish. Mostly bluefin tuna (decimated) and immature swordfish.

As I advised a previous reader, if Franky loves to water, as much as I think he does, may be he can try to hook up with some local hook & line (grouper, snapper and sea breams mostly) subsistence commercial fisherman and spend time on the water observing a rapidly disappearing way of life from the inside. The experience will be well worth it.

Pleas let me know if I can be of more help,
