    What Auto GPS???

I'm looking @ getting a GPS for the truck, and the only conclusion I can come to is that it will be a Garmin. I don't need all the bluetooth BS just a good unit, and is traffic update a must have,so help a brother out and give me some insight on what I should get.. or not get.

I have a 330 and a Nuvi 200. Neither has any fancy bells and whistles. The 330 works great, but is a little bulky. The 200 presents a problem for me here in NY. We have truck restrictions on certain roads. The 330 can be set for truck routes, wheras the 200 cannot. So I can't use the 200 in my truck. Not sure if this applies in Cackolackian land, but something to be aware of.

Ohterwise, I love Garmin's products and their support. Also, I programmed both of the units to speak British. It says the same thing in both languages, but it sounds classier in British.
IE8 says this may be a phishing site....Well, DUH!!!!!!... Stupid jerks can't even spell fishing right.

A good map, last time I used one of the car GPS, it sent me through down town Washington DC, on election day, 2009 pulling a 19' boat... I passed the Whitehouse @ 1700 and waved to GW as I drove passed...true story. Oh ya, it was in a rain storm...

    they are all good

    Nuvi 255W

Nuvi 255W, just got one and it is great....none of the extra stuff and real easy to use. You should not have to pay over $180 for it and you can download the latest map from Garmin for free.

I prefer a good map like Lee. I used a Garmin nuvi when I drove to Chicago in January. It sent me way the heck out of the way(almost 2 hours). I got to tour the southern part of Ohio on a narrow 2 lane road that hadn't seen a snowpolw in weeks. They work great in cities but I don't care for them much on the road.
