Oh, one more thing.
What do you do about the growth on the lens? Is there anything that would keep it off.
I wonder if that "prop speed" stuff would work. It goes on somewhat clear.
OK, translucient anyway.

Love my Ocean LEDs. Put Blue 1520's in last year. 1" hole for install - since its in the transom, its no worry - ton of surface area to cover on the thru-hull version. No bulbs to change.
Besides the dockside look (and the wake running), they have have done a nice job of attracting more bait in the canyon so far. And the yellows didnt seem to get skittish in the blue light.
AT the Miami show, they were showing their new amphibians that will mount on smaller boats, trim tabs, etc.
As for the accent, they are from England but have always been helpful.

a transom mount led underwater light for those who do not want to cut any more holes. they are also half the price of the ocean LED ($1150.00 for an 18 led cluster/pair)
giantfan,
I also have the abyss lights,(ms 800)and mine went out after a few months....I called him back, and he said there was a problem with the low amp regulators, which are faulty. He apologized, and sent me a new one(no charge) that both lights would hook up to,and they have worked great since.....I to,had problem with growth.....but you just have to brush them off every couple of weeks, and it helped...

Cool,
Thanks I will give them a call.
That would be great if that's the problem.
we are getting 6 of them installed on the Rampage this year. "Its going to look like madison square garden" apparently.
I have some friends that have the Fish GLow Lights on there boats that they got at the Miami Boat show. When I saw them I could not believe how bright they were. And they said that the install was super easy. They just mount with four screws each .Like a transom mount transducer. For $600 a set. Now thats COOL!!!!!! I cant wait to get some...![]()
I've got a 33 06 Rampage and have been thinking about some underwater lights. I am hauling my boat next month to do some other stuff and I would probably do it then. I would appreciate the benefit of your study and the subsequent real world use of your lights.
Which lights did you pick and how did you place them? Did you deviate from the recommended wiring in any way?
I'd appreciate your thinking . These things are expensive and I sure want to get it right the first time.
