    VA Whadda yall think ?

My latest creation on my ever evolving curtain creation. For some background I have had the standard 3 sided enclosure for 3 or 4 years now and it works fine most of the time. Just aint enough protection for an old candy a$$ though when it starts getting super cold and I catch that rockfish fever. Anyways a couple of years ago i purchased a heater from a guy that runs off the cooling system on my motor and installed it in my center console.(just like a car heater) It works great and love having it blowing on my legs even when its chilly but I wanted a way to "hold the heat in", so I decided to make a little 3 sided aft end enclosure where it hopefully will make it nice and comfy when running to and from and also when fishing. Figuring that since heat rises I didnt really need material low where it might interfere with getting to the pit, also wanted to leave the cooler under the leaning post accessible. (sammy's and chillies) Lastly I wanted to make it not to difficult to get out of to make it fishable as I can. This morning I finished making it and then installed it today. 70+ degrees and just the plastic made it hot as hell inside so I wasnt trying the heater yet, lol. The true test will come when it gets colder-

    here are some pix.

I made it so the rodholders in the leaning post back were still usable- the other 2 in the post base are still usable as well.

i figured that i still would need extra "air" so i put a smilie roll up zipper in the aft section

I also wanted to make it easy to get in and out of the small enclosure so I made the front panels so they could be pulled back out of the way or closed to keep the wind out either way.

I have been thinking about making this thing for a while now and since I am on vacation the next couple of weeks I said what the hell, ill make it. Just think its ugly- but as long as it gets the job done, lol

That is an awesome job!!! Looks like the bridge of a 40 footer. I guess the opening over the launcher is for yelling at the crew!!

Nice work, but I don't agree with you- it doesn't look ugly, it looks very professional. Actually looks like it would be pretty cozy in there on those cold days. Nice job.

I like it. Rock fishing in the winter does crazy things to a man. You will stay warm now. Good luck down there

I think it looks awesome. Looks like it was an original feature on the boat. And the act that you kept the rod holders accessible through the enclosure, VERY NICE!!!
