Westboro Church Gets a Pass...Pity That.
SCOTUS (personally, I have trouble not laughing as that acronymn is so close to scrotum) has really surprised me. They've effectively sanctioned the Westboro Church aggitators and provocateurs who defile the graves of fallen servicemen with their protests.
I hear that their point is that God, whoever the heck that is, gave us war and dead soldiers because there are homosexuals among us. Huh? Excuse me, but I just can't get those two ideas in my head at the same time because it causes my temples to throb in pain. Those thoughts are so convoluted that Mr. Webster is probably going to redefine convoluted, incongruous, and nonsensical by simply saying, "See Westboro Church".
Maybe some of you know better than I. So, is that REALLY what those guys believe or did I just hear some babble from the MSM that was total B.S.? Maybe I've been punked again like the hoax I bought about Walker. Do let me know.
If that's really what they believe, I mean sincerely believe, aren't they qualified by that fact alone for commitment to a mental hospital?
I'm just saying, wow! What will the Christians come up with next? JayW?

Life is not a popularity contest...
Your a hopeless dumbass...

Well this may be freedom of speech but something about it stinks in my book. I just hope that our state will do something to keep this thing from happening. AS it is now, the victims again have no rights. To me, burying a loved one that lost their life fighting for our rights, or to protect us, being a service person, fireman or policeman should be given the right to be interned in pace and their family's should be given the right to morn their loss.
Something is just not right with this to me.

Yea,well by the letter of the Constitution..its freedom of speech..the same constitutional right that allows us to stand on a street corner and proclaim how f-up our govt is..but i agree..our forefathers had no reason to believe a psycho crew like WBC would spring up,states are combating this ruling by enacting laws prohibiting gatherings of protesters at military funerals..but most importantly..PATRIOT GUARD MC..doesn't allow anyone at the funeral to hear WBC's nonsence....My solution...Tase em and drop them off in the bad part of town..see if there "god" saves them...

Sit down Shut up And fish
No Soldier's memory should be desecrated in the fashion that this so called church attempts to carry out.
Thanks to the Patriot Guard for doing what they do!!!!!

Bud Man, that first video had tears in my eyes and goose bumps on my arms, great post and God bless the Patriot Guard...

me llamo SUPER Dave
As despicable as the actions of the Westboro folks are, the first video posted above shows and example the true spirit and resolve that defines our freedoms as Americans.
Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression. Ratified 12/15/1791.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
The Patriot Guards have shown the true meaning of liberty and they have used it to support a family that has given dearly to protect that liberty.

The Court left plenty of opening for states to restrict their protests. Laws can easily be made saying that they have to be a certain distance away (say, 1 mile or so) and similar actions.

That's just wrong
A fallen "Hero" Service Man in the line of duty deserves honor and respect without question, whether he/she's a Homo or not. That church had to be a bunch of Pentecostal Holiness, they consider themselves Baptist/Christians. Kinda cooky sorts like yourself LF, always way out there on the fringes of sanity/reality.
One of those perfect kids of yours that you hate so much must be queer or something, considering how often you bring up that subject and worry about how Christians feel about them. Freakin Jack Off.

I Would Never Refer To Them As Christian's LF,
But of course you have an axe to grind and an agenda to pursue, so carry on. No one that I know, that even try's to live by Christian principle's would agree with them. God will be the final judge, no one else. Frank
