Our Viking manual said 300 mile range. Found out they were talking statuate miles. I've run the trip north & south a good 10 years. You can make just as good of time staying on the ICW south of Daytona to Stuart. Why not idle down to Frank S Farley marina, top her off, do some gambling then make your run. I don't like buying fuel in AC, I swear they raise the price when they see a big convertible coming in. Learned my lesson to top off in Sandy Hook or just buy enough fuel to get me to Norfolk. Price of diesel at Wrightsville was $2.74 last week. Anyhow, once ya get to Norfolk, you won't need to do over 200 a day. Good luck and have a safe trip.

Actually I cant measure. Glassed and foamed in inconsistent angles... I can measure the water and she comes up at 125 gallons. Supposed to be 115 water and 600 Fuel... The year before ours was 125 water and 525 fuel... The year before that was 115 and 490. The year after ours was 125 and 600

Our owner manual is a jumble of misinformation. They show this boat as having ZF gears and 550 hp engines. We have twin disc and 625 on the power. They show 42 on the pitch and we have 44 with a 5 cup. Shows 600 fuel one page then the very next page shows 490. Viking themselves can't find accurate anything on this boat either other than the wheels and shafts which they have right at least at their end...

As far as fuel price... I have some good stops planned... Atlantic Highlands is good. OC is good, Norfolk is good, Moorhead is great... (Coinjock used to be good but isn't any more.) North Myrtle is good, Hilton Head is not. St. Augustine is good, Daytona sucks. My own marina down here did suck at 3.25 just a month ago but the got a new Valvetec deal and dropped to 2.79 and I get further discount past that.
Owners manuals and spec sheets written in statute versus nautical make me nuts. I eat sleep and dream in knots... My charts are in nautical, my gps is nautical...

Yeah, I used to fill up in Coinjock until I found the fuel in Norfolk, (on right coming in) and Sams fuel dock in Morehead cheaper. Every time I bought fuel in Fernadina (Munie) I was changing filters next 2 days. Skipped it altogether for Commanchee Cove or Munie in Augustine. Easier in & out, anyhow. I used to navigate by radar going down NJ, just keep the 2 mile ring on the shoreline. I like City Marina in Charlstown, free shuttle to town and always something going on. Nice boats there, too. We should start a post on favorite stops, fuel prices, marinas and restaurants. I know I have my favorites!

When I used to drink I had an intricate list of every shit hole bar within walking distance of most every place you might consider stopping at along the way.
Different boats, weather, speed, range has had me make different stops along the way over the years and I always take notes. It would make a neat seperate thread. Maybe by doing that I can find places to eat other than the standard ditch grub joints. I have managed to find a couple over the years. Like at Norfolk three blocks back from the dock is a giant sports bar with a great casual menue...

Paul, I see you're all set w/ ticket back. Do you need and or want an extra hand? Doesn't matter to me really if you don't, I'm just looking forward to meeting you helping out w/ anything I can to make life a little easier on your end. Plus getting outta dodge for a few days won't hurt my mental state either!!

Here's your BF Billy solution...Next time you're below half full, buy a high speed fuel pump on Ebay for about $100 (mine is 140 gal and hour). Pump the fuel dry from one tank into the other (or out into drums if you only have one tank) Then fill the tank, voila you now know the answer! Note...the other tank you pumped the fuel into won't take as much...
