I'm not ready to subscribe right now. How long do I have until my existing CTF account is kept in the database?
Any non-paid existing CTF accounts will be deleted from our database on July 1, 2007. If you subscribe after July 1, you will need to re-register for the message board.
Most websites are free, why should I pay?
If you've been a longtime member, you know CTF is different than most online fishing communities. We've shared reports, photos, information, tips, laughs and real life situations that you just don't find on other fishing message boards.
Here is what some other fishing websites and magazines charge for a subscription:
Thehulltruth.com ($29.95 to use the classified section)
Iboats.com ($49.95/month to sell a boat)
Saltwater Sportsman ($20 for 12 issues)
Bassmaster Magazine ($14.95 for 11 issues)
In-Fisherman ($16 for 8 issues)

Yep, your gonna need stitches
Admin thanks for the offer! I have been a ct user for a long time and really can not believe this clown is locking the place down but that is his deal.
Please add a northern forum as some really great content comes from up north.
Thanks
Tony

Want to make one thing very clear!
I understand this is his right to close the place to the public. I respect him for that.
BUT
How many kids have enjoyed this site for along time and have enjoyed learning about fishing?
How many people have learned or smiled cause of a fishing site during bad times ?
I do not think a fishing site should be a pay site. This is my opinion and I want every person out there to know I will be more then happy to put up a free forum for this area. So the people who can't or just dont want to pay will have a nice clean site to hang out and share and learn..

John,
There was talk a while back about a New England Forum (from connecticut to maine), is that what you had in mind for this or are you thinking a dedicated Connecticut forum?

Well here is the deal, I do not want a empty forum on the site so I would want a good bunch of guys to take this one. Meaning a good group of guys from up north keeping the forums moving with good content.
I could make it cover ct to maine.
Would just need to know what forum names,
Inshore
offshore
wolf fishing forum.

The Cold Water Crew- the water is so cold you can't swim in it, you can barely stand in it, but you sure can fish in it. From Tuna to fluke, Connecticut to Maine, inshore to offshore, this is the spot for New England fishing.

As a resident of CT, I've been a member of CTFisherman since 2004 and am really on the fence with the direction it's taking. Some of the comments from those that are chosing to stay with the forum really makes me wonder whether I want to still continue with them.......nuff said about that.....time will tell that's for sure.....
No matter what.....I still feel at home on SFC....and a New England/CT forum on SFC......h-m-m-m......
